Current Event: Larry's Football Challenge!

• On June 10, 2014, Larry's Football Challenge debuts! Challenge the mice to a game of football/soccer, score goals for your favorite team, and win rewards!
• First, choose a country/team from your profile page (click on the shield). You can only pick countries that are participants in the actual World Cup, but you do not have to pick the country you're in.
• Then, visit your friends' profiles to collect Gnawnian Footballs from them. You may collect up to 5 Gnawnian Footballs per day (resets at 0:00 UTC)
• You may also occasionally receive footballs from Football Footlockers, randomly dropped by mice all over Gnawnia. If you have Striker Charms, you can arm them for double drops of Football Footlockers.
• Footballs are spent to attempt Larry's Football Challenge, which can be accessed from your profile page, or from a banner that appears in your camp.
• The layout of the football field in the challenge is:
  • 2 defenders
  • Bronze goal
  • Football Superstar
  • 3 defenders
  • Silver goal
  • Football Superstar
  • 4 defenders
  • Gold goal
• Each defender is a particular breed of mouse. You are presented with three options. The correct option will let you pass it (the option will flash green and a green checkmark would appear). If you pick an incorrect option, you're likely to get tackled and lose your ball, but you may sometimes pass anyway (the option would flash red, and you'll be told you "got lucky").
• The correct option is always the same for a particular breed. When encountering a defender that you don't know the answer to, take a moment to think. The correct option usually makes some sort of sense, given the abilities, appearance, and/or personality of the mouse you're up against.

• When you reach the bronze or silver goals, you may either choose to attempt to score on it, or you can move on to attempt a higher goal.
• When attempting to score, you can kick the ball in one of five directions toward the goal. The chance of success seems to be heavily biased depending on where you kick, though there appears to be a chance to succeed or fail no matter what you choose. Again, the "best" option appears to make sense given the appearance and stance of the mouse keeping the goal. Or you look it up here.
• Should you choose to pass the bronze or silver goals, you'll have to pass a Football Superstar. Unlike with the regular defenders, you only have one option to deal with him: "Attempt to dribble past". You have a random chance to succeed or fail.
• Open the prize footlockers for some interesting goodies! You can also get pieces of the Football Theme; there are three of them, each one numbered. Once you have all three, assemble them by crafting, and you'll have a spiffy new journal theme. You can select it from your profile.
• Every day on 11:00 UTC, the defenders will change. The goalkeepers, however, remain the same.
